New Orleans, Louisiana - Dr. Hemelt is a board certified Ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience. A native of New Orleans, he moved to Slidell in 2000 when he joined Northlake Eye Center. Dr. Hemelt has practiced exclusively in St. Tammany for the past 23 years in private practice. He is trained to treat all eye disease and has a focus on General Ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery as well as Blepharoplasty eyelid surgery. He is a highly skilled surgeon and clinician. He diagnosis and treats all eye conditions.
Martine Domangue, MD
- Dr. Domangue, a native of Slidell, is a skilled Ophthalmic Surgeon and excellent clinician. Dr. Domangue graduated Cum Laude from Tulane University in 2014 where she received her Bachelor of Sciences Degree. She continued her higher level education at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans where she earned a Doctor of Medicine degree. She completed her training in Ophthalmology at LSU School of Medicine which included a rigorous 4 year training program. She is highly skilled at treating all eye conditions and has received extensive training in small incision cataract surgery, refractive eye surgery, advanced glaucoma treatments and age related eye disorders such as Age Related Macular Degeneration.
- Throughout her training she has participated in many research activities and shared her outstanding surgical skills with those in need in communities abroad.
- Away from the office, Dr. Domangue enjoys many outdoor activities such as diving, sailing, fishing and wakeboarding.
Jessie Fawer
- Dr. Jessie Fawer is a native of Covington and a graduate of Saint Scholastica Academy. Dr. Fawer attended Rhodes College in Memphis where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience and earned her doctor of optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Fawer completed her residency at the Southern College of Optometry in primary eye care with an emphasis on ocular disease. She has traveled to Nicaragua and Belize to provide free eye care to people of all ages. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry.
